Course Description
This course covers equations and inequalities, exponential functions, logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, solutions of triangles, trigonometric identities, graphs, and various topics in analytic geometry. Graphing calculator required: TI-83 or TI-84.

This course will benefit students who plan on attending college. Students who have an interest in mathematics and successfully completed Algebra II will benefit the most. This course also reinforces the essential learning of Algebra as students focus on the concepts needed to prepare Calculus.

Grade BreakdownAssignments: 5% of your semester grade. There will be daily assignments for each lesson in addition to review assignments and class activities.
Quizzes: 35% of your semester grade. Quizzes will be given after every few lessons in each unit. Retakes will be allowed, however additional work may be required before retake can be completed. Unit Test(s): 60% of your semester grade. Retakes will be allowed, however additional work may be required before retake can be completed. Retake PolicyAll students will have an opportunity to retake any target on any quiz or test they wish to improve on as long as the following minimum criteria is met:
1. All assignments prior to the assessment must be completed. 2. All corrections of mistakes on the original assessment must be completed outside of class time and returned. 3. The retake of target(s) must be completed within 5 school days after receiving graded assessment. 4. The grade on the target(s) will be replaced with the retake grade. Homework PolicyAll assignments not turned in on time must be completed prior to the unit assessment for any credit.
