GEOMETRY
Course Description
Geometry develops the techniques of logical thinking, an awareness of the geometric aspects of our environments, and insight into many of the types of problems found on college entrance exams. This course is designed for, but not limited to, students planning to attend college or a career requiring knowledge of geometry. Students will study the properties of lines and segments, angles, triangles, circles, and polygons as well as review the concepts developed in Algebra I. Daily written assignments will be required of all students. Because of the nature of the course, students should expect to spend a considerable amount of time outside of class on assignments. Students may be requested to purchase some geometry supplies. Graphing calculator required: TI-83 or TI-84.
